Sophie is a keen amateur astronomer, an elected Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society, a member of the British Association of Planetaria, a member of the Institute of Physics, and a STEM ambassador (supporting the space inspirations scheme).
Sophie has engaged in astronomy outreach with over 80,000 people since 2020. She has experience working at observatories, leading stargazing tours, and providing science sessions for schools.
