PhD and postdoc research in extragalactic astronomy; galaxy formation and evolution.
Teaching experience at undergraduate level.
Worked in UK Civil Service.
Worked in public engagement in the School of Physics and Astronomy, Queen Mary University of London.
Taught an introductory course (10 x 2-hour sessions) to adults at the City of Westminster College.
Currently Editorial Consultant to the European Southern Observatory (ESO), the National Optical-
Infrared Astronomy Research Laboratory (NOIRLab), the European Space Agency (ESA/Hubble/Webb), and the International Astronomical Union.
Peter organises talks and events for the Friends of the Royal Astronomical Society. He prefers to stay within the south-east, within easy reach of London, however is content to travel further with overnight accommodation provided.
