Full biography
2025 Famelab Runner-up, "A better Science Communicator than Carl Sagan" - Dr. Hannah Little.
I am currently a Postgraduate Doctoral Researcher in Exoplanets & the Search for Extra-terrestrial Intelligence at the Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics (PhD Student) working on predicting the transits we can expect to detect from the Roman mission set to launch on 30th August 2026.
Before successfully being awarded my PhD position, I started my research project which occupies the realms of exoplanet taxonomy and astrobiology.
Qualified in Science Communication from a PGDip at Bristol UWE, I have hosted radio shows, both at Bristol UWE and Queen Mary University London where I hold my MSc Astrophysics degree from. I have also written articles and most recently hosted and interviewed for the Jodcast, in addition to beginning with Marketing the show.
Just as my second-place-worthy Famelab talk was in Stellar Evolution, I look to pass on that sense of wonder from astronomy or simply relay information depending on your audience needs, within that topic, within the topic of exoplanets or within the general search for life in the Universe.
I am willing to speak across panels and radio/TV appearances from Manchester to London, Edinburgh to Glasgow, Paris to LA, approaching each request, individually. Thanks to my previous acting experience, I can also appear in film & TV within a scientific context.
