Full biography

Giselle Tadman is a digital learning professional, researcher, and lifelong astronomy enthusiast based in Buckinghamshire. Alongside her career in higher education, she is studying for a BSc in Natural Sciences (Astronomy and Planetary Science) with The Open University, inspired by a fascination with the Universe that began in childhood.

Professionally, Giselle works at the intersection of education, technology, and accessibility. She has held digital education roles at The Open University, the London School of Economics and Political Science, and the University of Oxford. She is also undertaking a part-time PhD at Lancaster University, researching how technology can create more accessible and inclusive learning environments for neurodivergent students.

Astronomy has always been her passion, and she enjoys sharing the excitement of space science with audiences of all ages. From the life cycles of stars and black holes to exoplanets and the history of space exploration, Giselle aims to make complex scientific ideas engaging, accessible, and enjoyable. She encourages curiosity, questions, and discussion, helping audiences appreciate both what we know about the Universe and the many mysteries that remain.

Drawing on her experience presenting at academic conferences and delivering workshops, Giselle brings an approachable, enthusiastic style to her astronomy talks. Away from work and study, she enjoys following the latest space missions, attending public lectures, and making the most of clear skies to explore the night sky.
