Ben runs Explorer Dome, one of the UK's best-respected science outreach organisations, bringing science and astronomy alive to over 80,000 people each year.

Full biography

Ben has been inspiring audiences both young and old since 1998 when he founded Explorer Dome. He and his team of 15 enthusiastic and professional science presenters tour schools and events across the UK with their mobile planetarium domes and a range of entertaining and educational hands-on science shows covering topics from Astronomy to Zoology, Chemistry, Earth Science, Neuroscience, the Environment and Sustainability. In addition, Ben and his colleagues regularly host live stargazing nights for Winchester Science Centre, Avon Gorge and Downs Wildlife Trust and various community organisations. We don't currently provide viewing equipment (telescopes/binoculars), but lead naked-eye, laser-guided viewing sessions specialising in bringing the skies alive with myths and legends behind the constellations. Ideal for general public and family groups. We also have the option of bringing along the mobile planetarium in case of poor weather.

Stargazing sessions

Mr Ben Brown can host stargazing sessions including guided tours of the night skies and observing using telescopes or binoculars.
